Decatur Island's charm comes from it's rural nature, unspoiled beaches and private access. There are wonderful views all over the island and offer great spots for picnics....or just relaxing and enjoying nature.
There is
one general store, Alma’s Country Store, that provides homemade lunches,
video rentals, food supplies and more. There is also one school on the island. To get to the island, you need to take a boat, private ferry (no cars), water taxi, floatplane, or a small plane (there is a dirt airstrip). The
Washington State Ferry system does not go to this island.
